This may prove to be a longshot but maybe you can help me.
I am looking for any information I can find on my ggg grandfather William Jones and his family in Merthyr Tydfil. He had a daughter Mary and from her marriage certificate July 1860 her residence is given as Colliers Row, Merthyr and William's occupation as Mine Agent.
Mary was still in Merthyr in 1865. her address then 18 Gellydeg. I think this is in Merthyr Tydfil lower, so i'm assuming her parents were maybe in the same area.
Getting Mary's birth certificate is on "my to do" list, hell of a lot of Mary Jones in Merthyr. Obtaining her marriage certificate was time consuming, she married a John Thomas. Jones and Thomas marriage in Merthyr! Well no one said it would be easy.
