Looking for the 1920 Census entry for -
PHYLLIS MAE MARTIN,     
born 12 Feb 1917, Ashland, MA.

Possibly with BLACKWELL or HEEREMANS family in
MA or NY.

There is a Phyllis Martin b.  1917 Massachusetts boardiing with the following family in Waltham Ward 7, Middlesex, Massachusetts in 1920.....
 
Charles M Wheeler 82  Head
Susan Wheeler 77  Wife
Edward M Wheeler 46  Son
Ethel G Wheeler 35  Daughter
Ella H Chapin 39  Neice
Phyllis Martin 3  Boarder

Phyllis mother is listed as born Canada and father is listed as born Unknown.  Ella and Ethel are both listed as born in Mass. so they are not likely to be the mother.  Any chance this is the child you're looking for?

Hi Jean,

Many thanks for this information - it could certainly be the child I'm looking for and not too far from Ashland MA.
Phyllis' mother was born MA, but her Grandfather was born NB. Her father was born in England.
I was told that she had been looked after by an aunt -Blackwell and do not know of a Wheeler connection.
However, there are family memories of an Ethel - so this may be the correct family group !!!!
