Birkby Hospital, Huddersfield
« on: Tuesday 08 May 07 20:37 BST (UK) »
Can anyone offer any information about a hospital at Birkby in Huddersfield. it was known as the Huddersfield Township Hospital, and the Birkby Hospital for Infectious Diseases. It was closed around 1905 to make way for a school which was built in 1910. Before it was a hospital, it was Birkby poorhouse.
Many thanks,
Yorkshire Lad.
