Glad that's been of help.
(B) after the brides name means the marriage was by Banns as opposed to a licence.

John,
Yes that fits perfectly as my family has always talked of Robertsbridge as home.
Many thanks

John and Jane,

The Online Parish Records clerk (http://www.sussex-opc.org/) only came up with a Samuel baptised 1816 and 1829, too late I think.

Any other avenues I could pursue?

Samuel seems to swing between saying he was born Westfield & Sedlescombe on the census.  They are next to each other so maybe he was born in one but spent most of his life in the other (if you see what I mean)
Did you try OPC for Sedlescombe?  Someone is covering that.
There is a good parish map on the Sussex Family History Site;
http://www.sfhg.org.uk/newmap_of_parishes.html This might help you.

Another dead end!
No Samuel Bishop baptised in Salehurst, Westfield, or Sedlescombe.

Some of the OPCs mentioned trying Hollington, Whatlington, Mountfield, or Ewhurst.  What is the procedure for searching areas without a clerk?

Try contacting the Sussex Family History Group (SFHG) http://www.sfhg.org.uk/  they have a baptismal index they can look-up.  Keep a note of the places that have been searched with the dates that have been searched so that they don't duplicate.

I have done this, but without any luck.  However, I was told the Sussex database is incomplete.  What is the procedure for finding records that are not indexed?  I am sure of the year +/- 1 and just 2 or 3 locations.
