where is longleys
« on: Saturday 12 May 07 06:31 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Can anyone tell where longleys is and if there is a Family History centre
there?
Also, is there any sites that may contain historical photos.

Regards

Hi Aweepeep.

cool name.
Longleys is a hamlet to the west of a small village called Newtyle in angus. It Lies 2 miles south west of Miegle.
I couldnt find much during a quick searh but as I live not far from it I could pay it a visit next week and take photos for you if you have anything specific.

Hi Watcher,

That's very kind of you to offer.
I do not have anything specific at this stage.
I am trying to locate the birth place of my ggf who was born there in 1826.

If at some later time I can get an address, would you mind taking some photos then.

Thanks again for the offer.

Regards

Aweepeep
