Pirie/Gordon's st catherines Ontario

Hi I am trying to trace what happened to james and Helen Pirie(nee Gordon) James was born c1896 Helen 29/10/1898 in Aberdeen they married on the 23/08/1923 in Aberdeen then James emmigrated 3 days later on board the Haverford arriving in Philadelphia on th 07/09/1923 I know from family information that Helen joined him and they moved to Canada Helen was known in the family as Ella. Can anyone help with more information please. I have a bit more information James and Helen had a son called James Gordon Pirie born 24/10/1928 in Marritton,Ontario,Canada and in 1951 they were living at 105 Lowell ave,st.catherines, Ontario, Canada they also had a daughter known as Betty could have been called Elizabeth I hope this helps to provide some more information.

Genewizard,

I can say for sure that, from 1973 until 1988, there were no Piries or Gordons living at 105 Lowell Ave, as I lived at 115 Lowell during that time. I knew the people at 105.

There were two Pirie families living in Merritton. John and Gus Pirie owned and operated Pirie Awnings, at the corner of Spring St and Rosedale Ave. The other Pirie family owned Pirie's Appliances on Merritt St. (The appliance business is still there but ownership changed hands about 15-20 years ago. That Pirie was George Pirie. (Merritton is now part of St Catharines).

I have to go out of town for a few days but can do some snooping around when I get back.

thank you to everyone who has posted a message I have found out through family that the daughter Betty was married between 1957 and 1960 but don't know who to. any more help is greatly appreciated.
