:(  Can't say that I'm very impressed with this site

I have followed what they ask, in the format that they ask, Marriages, Births, even putting in the exact D.O.B and it still comes up, Please enter a valid date!!!!

To me what use is it, and this is not the first time that I've tried it!

Hi.

I have just used it and the format for the date has to be adhered to.

If a Date of Marriage is entered it MUST be in the format dd/mm/yyyy (eg 6th June 2000 should be entered as 06/06/2000).

If you don't know the exact date, you could enter a date range instead (Earliest Date and Latest Date).

I used 01/01/1850 to 01/01/1860 and it showed the marriage I was looking for.

Hi

I have tried the site again, Marriage worked this time, but Births did'nt and I have the exact D.O.B

Must admit, when I first tried it, it was in the early stages of its setup, so I suppose I should make allowances, but its frustrating when you have the right information and input it correctly and comes back with nothing

Hi Jo.

As it is ongoing perhaps they haven't uploaded the births yet.

Sheffield and District Family History Society are transcribing the indexes for Sheffield Register Office and we are uploading them in batches of 5 years, you will only find births at the present time.

Thanks Tuppie

I was thinking about joining the Sheffield Family History, but havent got around to it yet.

My great Uncle had a lot to do with Barnsley Family History, particularly the Photography side.
