I have an 1889 one that does not record parents names, even though the places are there for it.   Also did not record the bride and grooms ages or birthplaces.

Luckily the witnesses were the bride's brother and sister, and the names were not common.

The NSW bdm site explains why information may be missing pre 20th century
In the early years of civil registration most events were registered following verbal advice from the informant. The widespread use of notification forms did not begin until after World War One in 1918

There is a interesting history of registration given

Also some notes here

Like Christine, I have marriage certificates that contain very little information - one being 1873 - I only scored the father of the bride because he had to give permission for the marriage.

Information on certificates from all states is given by sag
