This John Cobb was born 10 Dec 1811 in Portsea Hants. He married Sarah Felstead and was a Coachmaker living at 67 Lovitt Rd in West Ham in 1871 and 1881 censuses. His children were Henry c.1848 Ipswich, William c.1850 Ipswich, John born c.1852 in Stratford, E London, Joshua c.1855 Stratford and Elizabeth 1858 Stratford.  In the 1891 census and when he died John snr was living with son Henry's widow Martha and grandchildren Henry & Louise at 14 Colgrave Rd Stratford.

My interest was in Elizabeth who married a William Palmer but I eventually found out it was the wrong William Palmer so I don't know anything of the family after 1891.

Not sure if this is the John Cobb in my family or not will look into it thanks for the head up.  My John Cobb somehow was related to the John Cobb that held the land speed record for years.
