My ancestor John Bushe was granted the manor of Dilton in 1540 and I wonder if anyone has a painting or an image of Dilton Manor. There was a farm and fulling mill attached but I believe it is all well gone. Even a painting that can be emailed to me of old Dilton would do as I want to add it to my family history to make it more interesting.
John's father was William Busshe who married a Miss Strange (about 1490) who was a co-heiress of Gloucestershire, maybe someone has more knowledge of her, we have never known her christian name or ancestors although I would guess she is from the Le Strange family originally from Brittany. William and Miss Strange were the parents of Paul Bushe who became the first Bishop of Bristol.
Do hope someone can help.
