I think the 1851 details will help to identify the family in 1841 so these are

Bladon, Oxfordshire - no more specific address
Ann Brooks Head W 56 Blacksmith Oxfordshire Bladon
Richard son Mar 23 Blacksmith               " "
Emma daur in law Mar 21                  " Deddington
Luisa G.daur 4 months Kidlington
HO107; Piece: 1730; Folio: 379; Page: 23

This gives the added benefit of son Richard to check for - particularly since John may well already be deceased.

1841 Bladon, Oxfordshire - All born in County
Ann Brooks 45
John 15
Richard 12
Elizabeth 9
Emma 6
HO107; Piece 889; Book: 8; Folio: 9; Page: 17

Hi Mary,
Thank you so much for the information.
I had found a reference to a death of John Brooks in March of 1851 so I was hoping he would be around in 1841, no such luck, it must be a different John Brooks.
Thanks again.
Regards, Joan
