I found a ref on A2A under Cancelled Cadet Papers with my gg grandfather's name - Francis Stanhope LONG. Can anyone tell me please, if I sent away for this, what sort of info might be on it?
Time frame would be c1857. I am trying to determine if he actually went to India after he joined up, or if his papers were cancelled because he decided not to go?? He got married Dec 1857, so I'm speculating this could have been a factor.
