Fraid not. They are a bit older than me. I wasn't born til 1959.

What might be worth a try is Friends re-united to see if anyone on there who might remember them. They could possibly have gone to Willamsburgh primary school living out that way. The other possibility is the North School which isn't there any more - building is but not a school which is right at start of Glasgow road going towards Paisley centre. Not sure when the North school closed but my mum who was born in 1939 remembers it being open when she was small.

I can't remember the name of the catholic school that kids out that side of Paisley went to. I have St James in my head but not sure.

89 Glasgow road Paisley is more or less opposite the supermarket on the Google picture, I had an aunt and uncle who lived at no 99 which is towards Arklestone Road.

Hi all to everyone thats posted on this thread especially to those who are interested in the North School.

Today's issue (16/08/07) of the Paisley Daily Express shows a class photo from the North School circa 1946. The article was written by Derek Parker who is a well known local hack and is very approachable if you want any more info on it.
