Bunny baptisms are on the IGI but there don't seem to be any Holmes there ..do you know the birth year/place of any of their children?

They had a son John Holmes born 12 Nov 1801

The IGI lists a possible John - son of William and Mary Holmes (doesn't list Mary's maiden name). It's batch number 8212030 and give christening date of 15 NOV 1801  Willoughby On The Wolds, Nottingham, England . Other children with the same batch number are

Elizabeth christened 21 November 1805
Sarah            "            "           "          "
Mary              "            1 May 1803
Sarah            "          25 Oct 1806
All at Willoughby on the Wolds.

These are all submitted by a member as opposed to being transcribed from the parish records.

They're not a certainty, but a definite possibility

Can't see a baptism for Ann Holmes, but there are a couple of children baptised at Ruddington Wesleyan church around that time to John Holmes and Betty Ireland. Is this your John?

Good So that supports the case for your John being the one baptised in Willoughby ...

There is also  a Thomas Holmes on the census born c.1810 Willoughby who may belong to the same family.
