Hi,

I am looking for information please about any Rossiter or Rossiter family living in or born in Hardington Mandeville.

I am trying to reconstruct the family tree there and would appreciate any infomation concerning births, marriages, deaths etc.

I am also looking for a link between the Rossiters there and those in Doulting as I believe the branches are related.

Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.

Best wishes

Good Morning Alli,

Thanks for that. That looks like Francis Rossiter & Susannah Gear his wife.

Are there any baptisms or marriages please?

BTW, how far does the NBI go please?  I have a Michael Rossiter pre 1600 but no exact date and two possible children  Jane born circa 1611 and Francis born 1629 but I think there are other children born in between those dates.

At some point this family branched off and appeared at Doulting so maybe one child moved to Doulting and started a line there.

Lovely and sunny here. How are things with you?

Best wishes

Hi Alli,

Thanks for that.

From what you say I'm beginning to wonder if the parents moved to Doulting but the grown up children decided to stay at Hardington Mandeville so maybe the parents died elsewhere. Possibly, Francis and Susannah's children did the same leaving them to be buried at Hardington Mandeville.

I contacted the chair of the parish council in the hope that maybe some local historian was recording family trees there but I've heard nothing so far.

Glad to hear that you've got good weather too!!

Best wishes

You probably already know this, but just in case you don't, FreeReg (www.freereg.org) has Hardington Mandeville marriages for 1754 to 1812.

Best wishes
