Post Mortem Inquistions or Wills
« on: Wednesday 06 June 07 23:50 BST (UK) »
Hello
I have copies of some Post Mortem Inquistions written in the 1500s and 1600 they are in Latin.
I thought they were basically Wills.
But I was under the impression that by the 1500s and certainly by the 1600s Wills were written in English.
Could any one tell me if there is a difference between a Post Mortem Inquistion and a Will.
Thanks Dav
