Trying to confirm birth of Mary CHANCE c 1848 Wellington NZ
I just want a folio number if possible. Her father was James her mother Elizabeth (nee Fitzsimmons.) Have the marriage certificate, but it is not very enlightening.

There were no CHANCE births registered anywhere in NZ for the period 1840-1854.

Registration for births and deaths only started in 1848, so quite possible that some at the start didn't bother.
