Burials from Ballymacarrett
« on: Saturday 16 June 07 14:51 BST (UK) »
I have found a few of my family buried in Knock Burial Ground but need a lead as to where to look for the others. What cemetery would people from Ballymacarrett/Knockbreda have used mid to late 1800s? I know Dundonald didnt open until early 1900s. Anyone who has found descendants graves who were from this area? Any thoughts appreciated.
Mandy

Hello Mandy,

I imagine that the Old Knockbreda Cemetery is a possibility. There is also a new cemetery at Knockbreda which was first established in 1905 by the Knockbreda Parish Church.

Hi Mandy
I think Belfast City cemetery is a possibility and I believe the old Priory cemetery in Holywood, Co Down is another.  :)
