Lookup- Margaret Loan Edward Loan
« on: Thursday 21 June 07 22:03 BST (UK) »
I know my Great-Great Grandmother "Margaret Loan" was born in County Tyrone around 1863, and her father was Edward Loan.

"Loan" is sometimes spelled "Lown".

Emerald seems to show an Edward Loan married to a Mary ??? in 1855?

Thanks!

The griffiths only show one Edward Loan in all of Tyrone, and I know my GGGrandmother was born there.

Her name is not listed above, but she was born in 1862, and Emerald's records don't start until 1866.

However, my GGGrandmother used both "Loan", "Loane" and "Lown" on different records.

Now I can pull the 1901 census from LDS for that area and see if there were still Loans in 1901

thanks again!
