335th Signal Company, Troop Carier Wing Picture and Roster
« on: Friday 22 June 07 05:50 BST (UK) »
Anyone have an Ancestor who serverd in WWII in the 335th Signal Company, Troop Carier Wing?

It's your Lucky Day !!!

I have a TROOP PHOTO and Roster. I am posting for all to see. This service has been great to me so I am giving some back. My wife's grandfather lead this Company. I believe he photographed it and he wrote an 80 page history of the unit. Enjoy. I have a high resolution 9MB file that would allow a closeup of individuals. Feel free to request.

I have in my possession as part of the Unit History a rather humorous Citation on behalf of the enlisted men to one Private Wille W. York (38227376) of Arkansas.

Apparently, Private York ran his 1/2 ton Truck into a Glider and disabled the aircraft. No doubt a US aircraft at that !!!

He was awarded: The Gold Wings of "Chief Glider Smasher", with Three Pine Needle Clusters.
