Why Ormskirk Liverpool?  I am puzzled as Ormskirk is in West Lancashire and not Liverpool.

There were numerous Army Camps,  one in Liverpool was in Blue Bell Lane, Huyton,

There were also American personnel based in the Liver Buildings for a time.

But the largest Army Camp around was RAF/USAF Burtonwood.   There was an RAF radio station (camp) at Haydock, St Helens.
