does anyone have information. of a birth or baptiim. of samuel empson butterworth. 1 have found him 1861 1871 census. he was born 1831 1836. in hull yorkshire. he married in norton stockton 1860. died 1878 stockton.his wife was called elizabeth smith. her mother father were ann and john smith both of stockton any help is really appreiated

He's proving a bit elusive, been looking for him in 1841/1851 census, think you may have to get his marriage certificate to find his father's name and occupation (unless you already have it, if so, those details would help)

im going to buy his marriage certificate. to see what is on there . i just thought having them 2 census forms to would finish that person of. so thankyou for your help

Oh, I agree, it would finish him off nicely!!   

It's just that there are no suitable candidates that I can find without knowing his parents' names, may be mistranscribed somewhere and extra information would help pin him down.

At least living locally you should be able to get the cert quickly from reg office, do please get back to us with the information and we'll have another look for you
