Hi Sancti

I have found Janet's death cert so if you pm me with your email I will send. She married a James Livingstone  (Blacksmith) and died 14 August 1870.

I also have found David;s death cert. He died aged 70 on 15.8.1903 and was the widower of Agnes Allan. Dauighter Mary Cooper registered the death.

To find out more about the family you will need to use Scotland;s People which costs £6 for 30 credits. A serach is free but the resuots are 1 credit and to view and save the image is 5 !

Happy searching

Hi sacnti

am assuming she was born pre 1855 and if she's not on SP then this suggests the family were not established church of Scotland  - that's all SP holds pre 1855! might be on IGI but if not is worth contacting National Archive Scotland who hold records (how far back varies) for non conformist and catholic births.

You can email then at

Hi sancti,

The marriage (or proclamation of banns) of Samuel COOPER and Mary DICK in 1829 is in the IGI (International Genealogical Index) on the (free!) FamilySearch site at:
http://www.familysearch.org

It is also on ScotlandsPeople.

It may well be that Samuel & Mary did not bother to have their children baptized - many many people did not!

The marriage/banns of a Janet COOPER & a James LIVINGSTONE (1851 - two entries, one in Dunfermline Fife and one in St Ninians) are also in the IGI, as are records of 4 children born (after the start of statutory registration) to them in St Ninians.

Ditto the marriage of a David COOPER & an Agnes ALLAN (1857, Stirling) and 7 children born to them.

and David (1857)
