    hi im looking to see if any one could tell me about my grandmother who was born in cavan about 1876 and went to scotland, her father was called patrick farrell and her mother was called fanny farrell are francis, her single name was hodge, thank you .

Going through old posts and found this one - have you already found the information on this family that you were looking for earlier? Since then lots of Irish resources have come online.

However, from your previous posts it looks like the family might have left Ireland before the 1901 census-

ROSEANNE FARRELL , HER MOTHER WAS FRANCIS HODGE WHO WAS MARRIED TO A PADDY FARRELL, I THINK THEY CAME FROM IRELAND , BUT ROSEANN I THINK WAS FROM HAMILTON,, I KNOW SHE MARRIED MY GRANDFATHER IN HAMILTON AROUND 1895, AND THEY LIVED IN SHETTLESTON
