Hi and welcome to Rootschat Chris. Eryka91 hasn't been online since 2010, however if she still has the same email address then she will get a notification of your post and be able to respond.

Should she not come back on within a week or so, then just post back on here and someone can notify the moderators and they can check if she is still a member.

Hi Chris
I have been away from my family tree for a while. 2016 is my family tree year.
I have only recently proven that we are related to the NSW Garbutt's to which Ruben and Mary belong. We are from the Queensland Garbutt's. There is also a Melbourne family.
I would like to follow their son John forward.

I am also trying to find a connection to William and John Garbutt who arrived in Australia at her majesty's pleasure.

Mary Atkinson who wed William Garbutt about 1585, trying to link her to the rest of my Atkinson family, how intermarried with the Garbutt's over the years.

Hi,

I am in the middle on what has almost become a one-name study trying to link a stack of different Garbutt families together - some successfully, some not quite so successfully (so far). Of particular interest is the Australian Garbutt's, mainly to see if I have some distant Cousins here that I can connect to as I was actually born in the UK, but now live in Wodonga. I am connected to one line of Garbutt's through my 3rd Great Grandparents David Ord and Ann Agar. Ann Agar's parents were John Agar and Hannah Garbutt (Lastingham, Yorkshire) Hannah Agar died in Guisborough, where most of my Ancestors on that side of the famile were from. Go back further and the Garbutt's are intertwined throughout my tree.
