Found the following in the 1858 York Probates

The Will of John Clarkson late of Clayton in the parish of Bradford in the county of York weaver deceased who died 26 December 1857 at Clayton aforesaid was proved at Wakefield by the oath of Benjamin Sowden of Bradford aforesaid overlooker one of the executors.

Probate granted 11 Oct 1858 Effects under 100GBP

Not sure if this is your man and doesnt give a great deal of info on him but thought it might be of interest to you.
