Pantryryn + Newbridge
« on: Wednesday 18 July 07 00:30 BST (UK) »
I have on a death certificate the name of the person who registered my       great grandmother's death in 1911. It states the informant was her son William. The problem I have is that Wiliam was born before my great grandmother married my great grandfather. His mother's maiden name was Richards and her married name Morgan. If any lister has an electoral roll for Newbridge , could they be so kind and see who the occupants of Pantyryn where in about 1909-1913. Was there a Richards or Morgan in the household.Thankyou.

Do you possibly mean Newtown as opposed to Newbridge?Whilst I'm prepared to be enlightened,I don't see any Newbridge in Montgomeryshire.

I am afraid that the place is Newbidge on the certificate. What it actually says . Is Pantyryn, Newbridge, Mon. I know Pontypridd was once called N ewbridge and it was in Pontypridd area where his mother died. Maybe the person who entered the death registration got mixed up with the county. Unless the bounderies have moved.

All I can suggest now,is to post this query on the "Wales General" Forum, where perhaps more people may see your query, and explaining that you are uncertain of the location you are seeking.
