COMPLETED Jane MARTIN - B: 1836/37

I have an ancestor by the name of 'Jane MARTIN'. here are her details:

B: 1836/37 - County Cork, Ireland
D: 6 Jan 1897 - Australia (Probably in Tasmania)

Marriage: 14 Mar 1855 - St. Thomas' Church, Avoca, Eastern Tasmania
Husband: Silas Cole

Jane emigrated alone, from Plymouth, Ireland, as a 15 year old girl aboard the ship Calcutta. She arrived in Hobart on 4 April 1851.


I've hit a brick wall with her. I don't know where she was born apart from the county. I don't know the exact date she was born and I don't know any details about her parents. Can someone suggest a possible avenue to learn more information (I live in Australia by the way).

On the Index for the Mercury Newspaper 1854-1930- Births, Deaths and Marriages for Tasmania, there is Jane COLE died 6/1/1897...notice in Mercury Newspaper 14/1/1897.
