Boatmen on the Avon
« on: Thursday 19 July 07 14:44 BST (UK) »
My paternal grandfather's parents both came from boatmen families (Glover and Gregory). The Gregorys lived in the lock keeper's cottage at the Avon Lock in Tewkesbury in 1901 and were still there when my father was small in the 1920s. Both families lived in Tewkesbury. Does anyone have any knowledge of the families?
