The IGI has the following two baptisms at Ruddington Wesleyan Chapel

Mary Holmes born 01/05/1828, bp 25/05/1828
John Holmes born 08/01/1831, bp 30/01/1831

The years 1823-1837 for the parish church are missing from the IGI transcriptions. So you could take a look at a copy of the parish registers to see if there were any further baptisms?

I took a quick look at the census and it appears John died prior to 1841 if I have the right family? Further children appear to be Sarah c.1832, William c.1833, Thomas c.1835 and Mary c. 1836. Do you have them on the census?
