Northern Scott and Press and Journal
« on: Sunday 22 July 07 12:05 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know if there are any plans for the Northern Scott or Press and Journal going online with information from old newspapers.

I know you can get echoes of the past from the Northern Scott and a little bit of BMD from the P&J.

Are Libindx planning anything?

Regards

Betty

The Local Heritage Centre in Elgin has a continuing indexing programme (Libindx) of deaths, obituaries and pre-1930 marriages in the local newspapers including the Press & Journal.  However there are no plans to digitise any of the newspapers in the forseeable future.

Thanks for your reply.

I have got quite a lot of information in the past from Libindx.  Last year we visited them with a whole load of dates for births marriages and deaths and came away with some new information.

I live in hope!!

Thanks

Betty
