CUDLIPP in Devon

I am looking for the parents of RICHARD CUDLIPP who married JOAN BLATCHFORD on 31.3.1783 in Lamerton, Devon. Joan may have been born in 1759 so Richard would be around the same age or older. They had at least  four children - Betty 24.3.1794 who married Nathaniel Mortimer. John 7.2.1797 who married Hannah Coram, Samuel 30.9.1798 and Richard 27.8.1802 who married Gertrude Drake Spry.
As there is a large gap between the marriage and the birth of Betty there may have been earlier children or even another wife.
Any information would be welcome as I have been stuck on this line for years now!
