Burial - Rhosybol - Edwards - COMPLETED
« on: Thursday 26 July 07 23:21 BST (UK) »
Hello

I have John Edwards b. 1854 with a probable death in 1908 and his wife Ellen b. 1848 with a probable death in 1904. John was the local stationmaster and Ellen was in charge of the post office so I am hoping for a gravestone in the local church cemetery.

Would anyone local be willing to spend an hour or so of this beautiful summer having a look for me. A digital photo would be wonderful if possible.
Please pm me for an email address.

Diolch yn fawr,

Fairlane

Amendment:  John's burial now found at Bodewryd on 24 April 1908

Someone has kindly checked for me and according to parish records my couple are not buried in Rhosybol, Llanerchymedd, Amlwch or Amlwch town cemetery. Does anyone know if the chapel in Rhosybol has a cemetery attached?

Thanks, Fairlane

Thank you for replying to my original query - your help is much appreciated.

After generous help from Anglesey archives who looked through all the church registers within a few miles of their abode I located John & Ellen who are buried together in the churchyard in Bodewryd. We had a very scenic tour down country lanes just to find the church and found the grave with a headstone which has been laid flat.

Best wishes,  Fairlane
