I never use filters Gar (that's why I'm a member of FFFAFFF but don't ask me what it stands for as I've forgotten, have to ask Poll as she invented this tongue in cheek club  ).  It's just a personal preference and each to their own.

I just get more satisfaction out of doing it myself using the tools available.  They don't always come up as sharp as filtered ones but then they are supposed to be a few years old  .  Plus I can usually retain the original colours as filters work best on black and white which are then retinted.  Takes longer but it's my hobby so there's no rush!

  It 's the Filter free fraternity advocating far fewer filters  ... It is just as Caz says ... a bit tongue in cheek as I think there are only a few members lol ... At least it explains why I  take so long to do a restore lol
