Help Please
« on: Thursday 02 August 07 02:25 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone

This is my first visit to your site, and hoping that you can help.

I have a death certificate for Andrew Agnew 27 Sept 1855 age 10. not able to read the place of burial properly I think it says
"New Cemetery Sheuchan" he died at **** Street parish of Leswalt, death registered at Stranrear 28 Sept 1855 by Father James Agnew shoemaker.

If this place is correct can anyone tell me how I can find information on this cemetery as his Mother Margaret was deceased at the time of his death (c1851-1854) no records are available for her death, I guess young Andrew MAY be buried with his Mum, I would love to find this information. It would solve a huge problem.

Thank you so much.

Hi James

Thank you for the list of Agnew deaths, up to 1843.

Margaret died between 1851-1855, as she appears on the 1851 cencus, husband James re-married in 1855 (1 Jan) this is how I have been able to narrow the death date.

Your help and time is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again
Tricia
