did the Claphams drop off the face of the earth in 1881?
« on: Thursday 02 August 07 15:04 BST (UK) »
I am having real trouble locating a Clapham family on the 1881 Census.  I have found them on every previous Census and even on the 1891 and the 1901 Census.  But they seem to have just dropped off the earth on that night in 1881.

The information I have is

Anthony Clapham Born 1835/4 Leeds Yorkshire
Eliza Clapham Born 1833 Leed Yorkshire
and still living with them in 1881 could possibly be their daughter
Annie Clapham Born 1869 Bradford Yorkshire.

Any help would be gratefully received as my brain has run out of ideas and combinations to search

Thanks everyone.  I blame the fact my 17 month old is taking great disgust in tha fact I'm on the lap top again!  ;D

Sigh, Newf ... 9 seconds ... time enough for Asafa Powell to run to the Eiffel Tower and back  :P ;D

I've got a tip for you, SeeThreePeeo: Leave the surname field blank when you do a search  ;)
