Have you seen the 5 children of Thomas Stewart & Margaret Morgan listed on IGI? William Frederick (1865), Walter (1867), George (1869), Edward (1870), Edmond (1871). If you don't have them you can get exact details but make sure to check if they are submitted or extracted records.

Hi
Thanks for replying.   Actually I have the children, except for Edward, 1870 - not heard of him.   They came to Manchester inc1880 when more children were born.
What I cannot find is Thomas and Margaret's exact birth dates.   I have c1843 for Margaret, died 1931 age 88 and Thomas c1845 died 1921 age 76 - though at times dit comes up around 1839 - I know the ages differed regularly!!!

Civil registration of births in Ireland only started in 1864 so you will need to look for church records (if they still exist) but you will need to know what religion they were and were they lived (parish at least and preferably the townland).

Also I am not so sure of the parish and what religion.
All I know they married Bainbridge district with Thomas's Dad, Charles a shop keeper and Margaret's dad, Bernard a blacksmith.

here is their marriage details, MARGARET MORGAN M. THOMAS STEWART 24-7-1863. AT BANBRIDGE CIVIL REGISTRARS OFFICE. PARISH SEAPATRICK, BANBRIDGE, CO DOWN.

i would say they were of the protestand faith, catholics would not have married in a registar office.
