I estimate the time span would be

Births 1780-1795:  Marriage c1810

Son:
Alexander ROSS b c1814  d 1883
He went to RSA

Not very much to go on, but every little snippet of information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi EDO  :)

Do you have any idea in which parishes of Ross and Cromarty  these events might have occurred?

Good morning GADGET

Information is very sparse:  What I have comes from RSA.
The migration could have occurred prior to 1855.

I will have it followed up, but, I am not optimistic.

May I thank you for your interest and response to date.

Hi EDO

The problem is that there are a considerable number of Alexander Rosses born circa 1814 in Ross and Cromarty (none with mother M(a)cmillan) and no marriages to a Mary McMillan circa 1810 that I can see.

G'day again Gadget

Just a little information / misinformation:

Family anecdote::
The family ROSS are part of the Clan ROSS

The Red Rosses of Balnagown.

I don't know if that will assist.
