Shippy in Elmham
« on: Saturday 25 August 07 11:34 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am looking for more info on one of my great x grandmothers who is known on the 1841 & 1852 census in London as Shippy Clark!  She is noted as born in Elmham, Norfolk approx 1791.  I have no idea of her maiden name though and Shippy is very unusual as a first name I almost think surely it was a nick name?

Anyone come across a Shippy in Elmham Norfolk let me know :-))))

Hugs,

Cindy xx

Obviously you haven't yet found her marriage to Job Clark, so I was wondering if it was perhaps her mother's maiden surname?

Hi

Whalebelly is a name researched by a good friend of mine from Watton, which is the area that the family lived for some time.
