How do you know about free days on Ancestry?
« on: Saturday 25 August 07 12:17 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know how notification is given that there are these 'free 3 days' on Ancestry?

It is often reported on this board, but how do people first find out about the offer?

Many thanks Ewan

Hi Ewan

I believe it has been advertised in various magazines like Your Family Tree, don't know of other places.

I have only ever heard of Ancestry 3 free days offers via word of mouth - on various forums etc.

Sometimes they advertise on this site! They will have an advert for a free trial at the top of this page.

Best wishes, Judy :-))

I think it's by email.
I had an email from Ancestry a few months ago about 3 free days, & I believe the most recent message on rootschat was from someone who had been told about it by Ancestry. I wasn't notified by Ancestry this time, but thanks to the original poster on here, managed to get six free days, 3 on my pc, then again on OH's laptop.
I certainly got my money's worth ;D ;D
