Palmer of Leicestershire
« on: Saturday 25 August 07 23:22 BST (UK) »
My Great Grandfather Henry William Palmer B:1860 Northampton had parents named John Palmer and Elizabeth Keller (what it looks like on the irth certificate, could be sheller). All I can find that fits is in the 1871 census Wher his father is from Leicestershire  and his mother Elizabeth is from London.

Can't find his family in the 1861, 1881 or  1891 census. Henry is in the latter census (1891 with his wife and children)

can anyone help me to find the missing censu and if Mary Keller was from London as i can't find anything on her anywhere

Greeting’s …..& Welcome

Have you had a look at the following 1861. Census returns ?  :~

RG 9. / 2286. / 88. / Page. 2.

Leicester.
St. Margaret’s Parish.
No. 19. Willow Brook Street.

We Have within the Household of Caroline Palmer. Widow.

Elizabeth Palmer. Visitor. Married. 23. Dressmaker.   b. St. Pancras London.
Henry. W. Palmer. Son. 11.   b All saints Northamptonshire.

The index has linked Henry to Caroline as Mother  …But
I can read it that Henry is the Son of Elizabeth Palmer a Visitor
It looks like the age written has 11mths been crossed out
because it was put in the Female column
and 11 put in the Male column

Hi Mike
thanks for that i have looked many ways and can't seem to find anyone on any of the census. Although that is possibly due to the time of night and length of time that i have beene looking. Don't suppose you could send me the 1861 censu link?

WHere do you think her husband could be?
many thanks for the help

Greeting's Again Sreve......

I don't think that link worked to send you the page

So have scanned it and have sent it as an attachment
to you e-mail address
Could I suggest that you now remove your E-mail link
from your post
otherwise you might get a load of spam mail
