Pottle
« on: Tuesday 28 August 07 09:19 BST (UK) »
Hello ,
i have come across an old postcard photo of what I think is Alfred Charles Pottle and his family. If I am correct Alfred was born 1876 and married Elizabeth in 1900.
On the photo they are with one son and 2 daughters. I think they were from Kings Lynn.
Any more information would be welcome
Regards
Alan

Pottle  Doris Louise     King's L.  V4b P301

Births Jun 1904

Pottle  Charles William     King's L.  V4b P287
Pottle  Doris Louisa     King's L.  V4b P301

Births Sep 1906

Pottle  Bessie Gladys     Kings L  V4b P300

Births Dec 1906

Pottle  Robert William     Kings Lynn  V4b P287

Thanks for all that Newf, I think the children look like being Alfred, doris and Bessie , judging by the look of their ages. I wonder whether they have any descendants living.
I think my family probably have this card from grandads WW1 days, its signed A C Pottle, ASC, which is Army Service Corps to which grandad was in .

Heres a possible for Mrs E. Pottle as a youngster - it looks like the 1901 Enumeration reversed Alred & Elizabeth's PoBs ?

The Marriage Cert would efectively confirm if it shows this Father ..
