Me again !

Is it possible to get to Lloydminster via train/bus if I get off the train in Saskatoon and rejoin the railway on another train at Edmonton ?   Hwy 16 seems to go from Sask to Edm.

Yes it is
Its about 3 hrs from Saskatoon to Lloydminster and about the same from Lloydminster to Edmonton.

You need the Greyhound bus. When you get off the train in Saskatoon you'll have to get a cab into the city for the bus depot as the train station is on the outskirts. If you have a lot of wait time in Saskatoon it would be really worthwhile to visit the Western Development Museum to see how your ancestors may have lived
