1891/1901 William L'Homme
« on: Saturday 08 September 07 08:23 BST (UK) »
William L'Homme c 1849 Finsbury London Middlesex was in Reading St Mary in 1881 as an accountant Coal. He was a boarder with George Isley. Can anyone find him in 1891/1901. Quite possibly his name is spelt incorrectly.
Thanks
Shauna

Shauna

Have to admit defeat with this one sorry.  Been searching for ages and drawn a blank with each attempt.  Do you know for sure that he stayed in the UK and did not migrate to some other part of the world??

Good luck with the search

Thanks Karenlee,
If you cant find him nobody can. As you know he never reappeared with his family and I could not find a marriage. The closest I could see was under the name of Lane (that fitted the dates). You could be right and he either immigrated or joined the army or is in the lost socks box with a few other rels.
Sorry to have taken so much of your time. I really appreciate your help.
Have a good one, best wishes

No worries Shauna, it may have taken some time but that's okay.  Just disappointing that we can't find him.  I looked at the LANE entry too, but found them on others, so discounted them.

Cheers
