1891/1901 Lookup - John Jones

John Jones was the son of William and Ann Jones.

John was born about 1865 in Kerry, Montgomery, Wales.

In 1881 Census John Jones was:
Living at home with his parents in Poulton cum Seacome, Cheshire.
His father, William Jones was 47, born in Kerry, Mont., occup. a joiner
His mother, Ann Jones was 40, born in Llandero, Montgomery.
They had six children at home, in 1881, plus a boarder.

John (Jack) emigrated to Canada with his wife and children after the 1901 Census.

I would very much like to have the 1891 and 1901 Census information
for John Jones and his family!

Any help appreciated!

I am having problems finding John, Do you know who he married and when?

Thank you so much for the census information.

I do not know John's wife's name, unfortunately.
I was hoping we could find John in a Census with
a wife!

John had two older siblings, William (b: 1861, Kerry, Mont., Wales) and
Anne (b: 1863, Kerry).

It seems the family moved from Kerry, Wales to Bidston, 
and then Poulton cum Seacombe, Cheshire.

I was told John ,with his wife and children, came to Canada but not sure
the exact year yet, as I cannot find them on the ship passenger lists.

The two brothers, Charles Francis Jones and John (Jack) Jones likely came
out together, with a third unknown man.  The wives and children followed
later, I think. Their port of departure was probably Liverpool.

So, if you cannot find the two brothers on the 1901 Census, they may
have left England by then.  They should be around though for the 1891
Census.
