Thank you sue, so very much for the lookups. 

I did not know William had a younger brother Robert, it places the family back in Norwich in 1856!

Could I ask for a 1861 lookup for Robert Moore?
I know William's  father was Thomas Moore but do not know who his mother was.
William and his brother Thomas in 1861 were in a boys school in Norwich, maybe Robert will be with his parents

but none with a father Thomas.

This could be him...with another brother

Looked for James Moore born abt 1859 in the 1871 census.

James Moore Lodger 12 b Norwich
Boys Home, Conisford, Norfolk

possibly the same boys home as for William in 1861.

Many thanks for the lookups Sue, the plot thickens!
James's Mother must have died between 1859 and 1861, but Moore is a popular name in Norwich. 
I think I shall have to send for Robert or James Birth cert and hope the father's name is Thomas!
