GEORGE family. Sutton Veny

I've just spent 4 days in Longbridge Deverill, Crockerton and Sutton Veny, hoping to find something in Church records of the George family.  Unfortunately, most of the residents of these villages are "newcomers" so no local knowledge.  I had a good look at the graves at St.John the Evangelist, Sutton Veny, hoping to find gt/gt/gt/granmother Hester(nee Moore).  It wasn't until I got home that I found I'd written the date down wrong.  That Church wasn't built until 1867, my Hester died in 1846.  I have since found out there was another Church....a much older one.  Does anyone know what it was called.
If anyone has the Georges in their tree, that would be a bonus.

I come from a long line of george's. it would seem a william george 1580 married katherine owin in stepney london. william was born in foxfield wiltshire. and the link (not proven) run's to living. the family stayed in and around london, i have a john george m:sarah doyle devizes wilts.abt 1788,or 1801. I am a new tothis family  game I can prove a link upto john 1788.

Sorry I have taken so long to reply, but have had sad event in family so haven't been on here.
My Georges' all started life in Longbridge Deverill, Wiltshire.  My gt/gt/grandfather was Benjamin B 1803.  A lot of them emigrated to Canada late 1800s.  Later, most of the family, including my Grandfather, went to S. London.

In 1580 Foxfield wiltshire i have
william george, he married in london 1601, kath owin 9 children
his son mathew 1623 mar: 1656 kath ellwood 1 children
son john 1661 mar: 1688 rebecca seayre 2 children
son john 1701 mar: 1729 mary ridley.6 children
son joseph 1734 mar:1759 sarah reneau 6 children.
and so on. i have looked through my database for Benjamin B 1803. if you can give me more info on you tree. in 1824 i have alfred george, 9 children. walter george 1856. 6 children none a Benjamin

I haven't managed to get back as far as you on the Georges.  Benjamins father was George George 1781 and mother Hester 1783.
Benjamin married twice and had 6 children with 2nd wife sophia.  They were Charles A. 1846
Louisa 1848
William 1854
Joseph 1856
Sarah 1858
Comfort 1863
I found an Alfred but he was born in 1896. and Walter 1867.
You are probably right....no connection.  I haven't had a lot of luck with this branch of my family.
