James POPE/Maria DOWLING Frome

Could SKS find the marriage of James to Maria. Maria was born in 1812 in West Woodlands which is Frome. I think James also came from the same area but I do not know when he was born. I suppose they would have married c 1832. I am just going to have another look at the Frome website but if anyone can help I would be very grateful.

The FreeREG site lists a marriage between these 2 people but it took place in Frome 12/12/1812 !!!!!!

I found that marriage on the Frome site and dismissed it although I did think it odd to have another couple with the same names! One of their sons was born c1825 which does not make any sense with the dates I was given. I also looked at the 1841 census and the dates were way out so I thought I had the wrong family. I think I need to start again!

Hi, I have an ancestor William Dowling from Frome, Somerset. I think there may have been a large family of them at one stage.
