FTM - Including photos
« on: Thursday 27 September 07 19:04 BST (UK) »
Hi

Am I going stupid?   ???

I seem to remember a switch in FTM so that you could decide to include photographs directly in your database or, if you preferred, merely a reference to where the photo is.

I can't find the option - did I just dream about it?

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks
Les

As far as my understanding goes the new version of FTM allows you to ref your photos in your tree (and I believe see them) but they remain stored on your hard drive rather than in the FTM file.

Does that make sense?

Hi - thanks

Yes, that's exactly what I'm wanting to do. I'm using FTM 2005 - is it not an option in that version?

Not an option as far as I am aware - they are using it as a marketing point of the new version.
