Santa, this is what I really want for Christmas!

Friends and family have asked what I want for Christmas.  And I keep saying:

1. Jane Gage -  about 13 (probably with father William) in Bethnal Green/Shoreditch or even  Monks Eleigh, Suffolk in the 1851 census.

2. James Webb - probably a son, about 20ish (with family) in Bethnal Green/Shoreditch/Pancras in the 1851 census.

I know it's a tall order but they look at me in a sad and pitiful way like I am stark raving bonkers and nip out to get me the usual CDs and Books.  Although now I suspect they will look more specifically for a gift from the the Self-Help section of Waterstones, possibly on curing obsessional behaviours! Bah humbug ....

You know I go through this every Christmas with my mother. She asks me what I want and then buys something she considers more suitable!

This year I asked for the Notts 1841. I am getting ..... a new bedside lamp

And Keith ....if it were anyone else but my mother doing the buying, it might be possible! I shall just have to treat myself and hope that Christmas card to the bank manager sweetened him up
